In the shadows under the mattress, he saw two pairs of glowing eyes—bigger and scarier than his. BedBoo panicked and fled, and from that day on, he never dared to go under any bed. Just the thought of it made him tremble and hide under a blanket.

A Life of Hiding

In UnderPillowia, monsters take pride in being scary. For BedBoo, who was afraid of other creatures, life was tough. Other monsters teased him for avoiding his duties and instead spending his time doing something „weird”—building pillow forts. Pillow forts were BedBoo’s safe haven, where he could hide, knowing no monster would venture inside.

One stormy night, as thunder roared and lightning lit up UnderPillowia, BedBoo heard a soft sobbing sound. It came from the bedroom of a little boy, under whose bed BedBoo had once been assigned to live but never dared. Intrigued, BedBoo summoned all his courage and tiptoed into the boy’s room.

Peeking under the bed, BedBoo saw what had terrified him his whole life: a giant shadow with glowing, menacing eyes. But this time, he noticed something new. The boy, lying on top of the bed, was just as scared of the shadow underneath.
